| Description: |
NAMI-Tennessee refers callers to regional agencies across the state. These regional agencies provide support, education, and advocacy. NAMI encourages research into the causes and possible treatments of mental illness. The agency's mission is to eradicate mental illness and improve the quality of life for those who suffer from a no-fault brain disease.
NAMI TN also offers two educational classes: 1.) Journey of Hope--an eight week workshop for family members of an adult with a mental diagnosis. 2.) Visions for Tomorrow--an eight week workshop for caregivers of children or adolescents with a mental diagnosis or severe emotional disturbance. For more info on these courses, contact Roger Stewart at 1-800-467-3589. |
