Description: Parent Training is provided through training workshops. The purpose of this training is to help parents become knowledgeable and effective participants in the special education process. STEP also offers consultation and assistance for parents who request help in dealing with specific special education situations. STEP has developed specialized workshops on specific issues important to parents. STEP makes available to parents free training and informational materials, including a quarterly newsletter.
