Trained telephone workers are available 24 hours a day. The counselors provide information and referral, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention. Volunteers are trained to give a caring, non-judgmental listening ear to help persons find direction for solving their problems. Parents can call for additional assistance with children and information from a parent specialist.
Other Services Provided by Contact are: Kid Call: 865-523-9124. A 24 hour a day counseling service for school aged children who are at home alone before their mothers and fathers arrive home from work. Call anytime in need. Reassurance Contact: Hours 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday (business office). The center makes a daily call to check on elderly shut-ins and disabled persons living alone. If there is no response, help is sent immediately. Teen Talk: 865-523-9124. A 24-hour a day counseling service for teenagers, offers support and reassurance. |
