Description: The MENs program is a group counseling and instruction program for men with anger management issues, primarily related to domestic violence. The program clientele is both court-ordered and voluntary. The main focus is to aid clients in finding methods to reduce and appropriately manage anger, to assist clients in becoming aware of the reasons for their angry, violent, and abusive behaviors and to accept responsibility for them, to develop appropriate communication with others: wife, partner, children, extended family, coworkers, and friends, to help clients develop an understanding of the cycle of violence and the types of abusive behaviors, to improve client's self-image, to improve self-awareness and self-communication abilities, and to work to ensure safety of victims of domestic violence and abuse.
