Call for psychiatric emergencies, such as when a child or adolescent expresses serious suicidal and homicidal thoughts or behaviors; experiences severe depressions; exhibits bizarre behavior, diorientation, confusion or halluciations; or acts in a destructive manner or is otherwise out of control. Always call when a psychiatric hospitalization is being considered. |
