CONTACT Ministries is a non-profit telephone helpline ministry serving the upper east Tennessee region. CONTACT provides the following three services to our community:
1) Crisis intervention: handles calls dealing with a wide range of situations, from basic needs to interpersonal relationships to feelings of depression and suicide.
2)Information and Referral: CONTACT maintains a listing of area agencies and resources that provide services for different needs.
3)Reassurance calls: These are daily calls to area residents who are elderly, handicapped, or have medical conditions that require monitoring to check on their well-being. Counties surrounding those listed are served as well. |
