SAOP is designed to help victims deal with the trauma and rape and childhood sexual abuse. Staff and volunteers provide a 24-hour crisis intervention hotline, personal accompaniment and advocacy through the medical examination, police investigation and court processes, one-on-one crisis intervention and emotional support to help victims understand their feelings following the assault. SAOP also provides support services for the significant others and family members of victims, educational programs on sexual assault for schools, professionals, organizations, and the community. |
