Tennessee Protection and Advocacy, Inc. (TP&A;) is a federally mandated agency authorized to protect the legal rights of persons with disabilities. Our Attorneys and Advocates work to ensure that people with disabilities in Tennessee have an equal opportunity to be productive and respected members of our society. Depending on federal eligibility requirements, TP&A; may be able to assist with legal problems like 1) abuse and neglect outside of the home; 2) discrimination in housing, transportation and employment; 3) access to public and private programs and services; 4) access to mental health, rehabilitation and support services; 5) access to appropriate education programs and services; 6) obtaining and utilizing assistive technology services and devices; and 7) access to vocational rehabilitation services.
